New Job!

I’m back! Sorry about that…. I have been super busy because I got a new teaching job! I am super excited to be starting. I am starting to teach 3rd grade 🙂

That being said…. I was busy setting up my classroom, trying to learn names, trying to learn where they are academically, organizing, cleaning, teaching, keeping my head on straight and breathing!

It has been crazy to say the least, but I am so blessed!

Here is to a lazy MLK Jr. Day! I have the day off…which means…. lesson planning! HA.

Happy New Year!

Short yet sweet post today…. I hope you all had a fantastic New Years yesterday! Lets get this year started off right!!

3. Stop relying on the scale to tell me how awesome my body is becoming.
4. Get my own apartment by the end of the year.
5. Get a full time big girl job!
6. Get either a barre, pt or Pilates certificate

Let me know what some of yours are 🙂

One word.

I was watching TV this morning, and there was a segment on picking one word to determine how you want to see your year. I thought this was so cool! Since I am indecisive though I picked two words for my new year! My words are growth and determination. I think these words really work well together. I want to grow in all parts of my life: my work life, personal life, mentally, emotionally, physically, etc. I want this year to be the best it can be, and by letting myself grow, I believe this can be achieved! I am a very determined person, tell me I can’t, and I will do my best not to prove you wrong, but to prove it to myself that I can do it!

If you picked a word, what would it be?

So, first off…happy Wednesday, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can’t believe its 2014! I haven’t talked about wine in a while, and I wanted to share something exciting….I found a red wine I LOVE! This is huge news considering I love, love, love white wine. I was at the grocery store, searching for something new, and stumbled across this huge display of cupcake wine…I picked up the Petite Sirah thinking, okay, just try it! I opened it, and poured it in my lovely new ‘scandal’ wine glass, and was in heaven! I will be having a glass myself tonight 🙂

Click the link entitled cupcake to see what I am talking about, and go get some!

Happy New Year!

Christmas, holidays, food, oh my!

This week has been crazy! I have two weeks off from work…yay! If you celebrate Christmas, I hope it was awesome! It is always so nice to see friends and family 🙂 I probably ate so much food, and cookies the past 2 days….but it is the holidays so you are allowed 🙂 I had mashed potatoes, spinach and parsnips, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, salad, and so much more! YUM!! Then, I had a second meal that day which consisted of basically the same thing!

What kind of foods did you all have for the holidays? Any good recipes, please share below!

Catching Fire!

Jennifer Lawrence is a goddess! I saw Catching Fire this past week, and can I just say….OH MY GOOD GOD! This movie was so good.  I loved Hunger Games. It was well done, cast beautifully, and had a good story line. Catching Fire, was fantastic. You can tell they had a larger budget, added some fabulous actors to the story, and I mean I could go on, the drama, emotion, love, wow! Just wow!

Click here for the trailer…. Thanks Youtube.

Have you see this fabulous movie yet? Have I mentioned how much I love Jlaw?

Happy Monday!

Favorites Friday!

Well, you made it! It is officially Friday, and as I tell you fabulous people in my life, it is my favorite day of the week!! I decided this week to make my favorites about my favorite actresses/singers in Hollywood! I have been seeing many movies the past few weeks, and I just need to talk more about them!

1. Jennifer Lawrence: … I mean, do I even need to go on? She is a phenomenal actress! She really has the gift of acting, and she seems to lead a ‘normal’ life which most other celebs do not. I believe she is a such a positive role model for everyone, she can act, and she seems like a lovely, beautiful person! Meeting her would be truly one of the best things EVER!

2. Miranda Lambert: Can this woman sing or what? Mama’s Broken Heart, All Kinds of Kind? I mean come on! She is amazing, and married to Blake Shelton…. 🙂

3. Kate Winslet: Her… in The Holiday is just pure genius! I could probably watch it 1-3 times a week, and I have probably seen this movie at least 100 times, if not more! Can this girl act of what? Think about Titanic too?! You go Kate Winslet!

4. Lea Michele: She can sing, dance, and act? Perfection! Lea Michele seems like the sweetest person in the whole world! I would love to meet her one day.

5. Kaley Cuoco: This girl in the Big Bang Theory? OMG! Hilarious. She is such a good actress, she is funny, and lovely!

Maybe I will do my favorite actors next week? Yeah, probably! I love movies and TV shows, but you knew that already, didn’t you?

Happy Friday!
